Consolidating email accounts to gmail

Google released a new feature for Gmail this week called Gmail Delegation that lets you merge multiple accounts together. While Google's pitch is that it allows busy executives to share their inbox with assistants, it's actually a perfect feature for people with more than one Gmail account. However, life is rarely linear and we often find ourselves going back and forth between different accounts. The final step, which is optional, is to enable Multiple Inboxes in Gmail labs.If you want to be able to a more organized view of your separate inboxes, enable the feature in Labs. You can reply to e-mail, view contacts, and add labels to messages as if it were your own account. We tested Delegation out and it works very well, aside from the fact that you have to wait about 30 minutes for each account to link.Combining two or more Gmail accounts lets you receive and access (and search) all mail and use all addresses from but one, main account. After an initial effort to import mail from your secondary accounts, having all mail coalesce at the primary Gmail account will work automatically.

You can create 20 filters that forward to other addresses. To merge multiple Gmail accounts into one main account that receives all mail and lets you send mail from all addresses: You will, from now on, receive all mail from all your Gmail addresses at the one you have designated your primary account.
